I'll take one of each (balrog and the girl )
All this time I kept thinking it was Toybiz doing this guy. I figured if they made a 30'' Spidey, they'd go the full nine and do a complete Balrog. But ok Neca's got the license on giant figs so this makes sense. Damn that is a huge figure.
Actually Cemetary Man, Toybiz wouldnt do it because they didnt think badguys sold well enough, and some of their major retailers wouldnt carry the figure because it was "too demonic".

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's funny you mention that because most people would have bought two of Toybizs Balrog if they had made it. But now with NECA's offerings we are getting a much MUCH better rendition of the Balrog and I'll still buy two, as will many other collectors. Also looking at my LOTR collection I have more bad guys than I do good guys so I don't know what the hell Toy Biz is thinking?Originally posted by Yig:

Here's the deal on why Toybiz didn't make their Balrog:
Wal-Mart wouldn't sell it due to its demonic appearance (as mentioned above) and shelf space required. So, since WM is Toybiz's biggest customer, it didn't get made.
NECA on the otherhand mainly deals with specialty and comic shops so they didn't have to deal with "We're looking out for everyone's best interest" Wal-Mart.
But can it fly?
